Nazaré has several beaches, for the most different tastes:

the main beach, bordered south by the fishing harbour and north by the promontory, which in the months of spring and summer is sheltered and safe for swimming;

Praia do Norte, wild, perfect for extreme surfers and bodyboarders, but whose sea is very dangerous for ordinary mortals;

Praia dos Salgados, with vigilance during the summer, but dangerous for swimming.
